The Trans Health Collective was formed in 2024 by a group of trans people already engaged in active mutual aid within our communities. We know how important HRT is for trans people's mental and physical health, and we know the grave danger that is posed by restricted access to those medications. In the face of ongoing and worsening systemic attacks against the transgender community in the US and elsewhere, we felt it was time to establish more formal mutual aid programs to protect ourselves.

FAQ

Where are the medications sourced?

We use a variety of sources to supply HRT, including but not limited to:

Can you ship medication to me?

Yes, we can ship anywhere in the US, and we may be able to supply some folks internationally on a case-by-case basis.

How can I acquire syringes and needles?

If you receive HRT from a local distributor, it's likely they also have injection kits (needles & syringes, alcohol swabs, band-aids, and hand sanitizer), but we typically do not ship those. However, syringes and needles are sold over-the-counter in most of the US, though the exact restrictions and regulations vary state-by-state. Some require a prescription, others limit quantity or require ID to purchase, and others still allow sales with no or minimial restrictions. There are also several reputable online suppliers for needles and syringes. Here are a couple we've had success with:

Do you distribute hormones for free?

Yes! We welcome donations, and that generosity is what allows us to supply free or discounted hormones to those who need them, but we're proud to say we have never turned anyone down asking us for HRT.

Do you collect a profit from this venture?

No, and we never will. Our goal is to come as close as we can to breaking even, so we can continue to provide this service.

Which medications are available?

For the most up-to-date list, contact us. We usually stock the following medications:

We also stock a few raw powders, which we distribute to homebrewers. If you'd like to source pre-tested raws from us at-cost, please reach out.

If there is a medication not on this list that you would like help accessing, please reach out and let us know. There's a good chance we can either find it for you, or help you to get it yourself.

Can I donate/sell my surplus medication to you?

Yes! Please reach out to us. We prefer not to outright purchase medication from individuals, but we will happily cover copays or other expenses involved in getting the medications you donate.
